Fiesta start up rattle HELP doing my head in

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a 2009 1.6 petrol Fiesta ive recently purchased the previos owner didnt reall look after the mechanicals very well it hadnt been serviced for 3 years.

When starting the car i get a rattle like it a slight cam rattle. when reved above 2k rattle goes away when engine is both cold & warm.

I did a good service on it replaced the oil as well as plugs, leads and all filters ran it for 2 weeks then engine flushed and oil changed again but i still get this rattle.

Im now considering removing the sump and cleaning the oil pick up pipe to see if that may cure it. Please anyone else had this issue and how did you solve it.

Or even Noisey fuel injector.

Thanks in advance for any advice to help.
