Retrofit wing mirrors issue

Hi,

I retrofitted some powerfold wing mirrors to my car but I'm having a strange issue with them which I have been living with for the past year.

They work with the button on the door with no issues expect sometimes you have to press the button twice for them to fold inwards (the driver side seems to want to fold out on the first press), when locking the car I have to press unlock then lock for them to actually both fold inwards, and when unlocking only the passenger side unfold and I have to use the button on the door to get the driver side to unfold.

Do they have a switch inside the mirror so it knows if it's open or closed ? Do you think buying official driver side one might solve the issue or is it something completely different I'm missing?
