52 plate triple dash stereo problem

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm not sure this is in the right place so please advise if I should post it somewhere else.

I have a 52 plate Fiesta with the triple dash stereo. The stereo has now completely broken, and I'd like to replace it with a single unit I can plug an ipod into. What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this please? I'm baffled. Thanks.

You can just cut out the centre bars with a hacksaw and then just fit a double DIN cage and fascia.  If you want a single DIN headunit, just fit a single DIN cubby hole underneath.

I dont know the specifics of that stereo but ford usually have different plugs on the back than the industry standard. So if fitting a non-ford stereo you usually need some wiring adaptors (and aerial cable adaptor) which vary hugely in cost depending where you buy them but can be got really cheap on ebay.
