Water In Door

Featured Replies

My mrk6 Fiesta seems to be letting in water at the back passanger door.

The wate collect inside the door and when you brake it is like swimming pool swishing around.

anyone know how to stop this

yes come fault, when fords are manufactured they spray the inner door skins with was oil and this runs down the door and drys blocking up the drain holes in the bottom of the door. this allows water to collect in the bottom of thr door and swash around.

solution is get a thin screw driver or piece of wire coat hanger and open the door with the fault, at the bottom at the door where the inner and outer door skins meet there will be gaps in the join thats the drain holes put the wire in there and wiggle clearing the holes when you do this the water will come out.

thanks for that, the swimming pool has now gone.

It may be worth your while cleaning all drainage holes on doors while you've got the tools to hand, they will only clog up aswell
