Air Fliter

Featured Replies

Hi all i drive a fiesta mk5 1.3i endure e engine on a 51 plate petrol just wondering how often should you change your air fliter and what will this do to improve my car cheers alan.

Depends really. I'd give the engine on my old car a good checkover once a month for things like that and if anything needed changing I'd do it myself. Give it a look, if the air filter looks really dirty then get it changed. Won't cost much. :)

a dirty air filter will effect the mpg

i would probably change mine every year but ive got a k&n panel filter in mine at the moment so i just give it a wash every six months and re oil it.

normally changed every 3 years or 37000 miles

but petrol air filters will last longer than diesel ones so just check it and if its real dirty change it

if not blow it ouy and the housing and refit
