Drone very...very..cheap for me a complete beginner.

Featured Replies

I want to have a mess with a very, very cheap drone but i know not a thing about them, only want the small one for house use as well and with camera so any advice would be great.

Would like good battery life not 5 mins/record video and take pics and that it can just hover in one spot if i loose the control,i don't want a top one at all as may be used a bit outside.

Here is the example what i will order and try but i see the video footage it stored on the phone through the app,how does this work with no SD card in the drone when outside.

Just had one of these to have a play with, had message from the seller with a few things i ask,if the video s saved to the phone SC card i have a massive card so that's ok,not a hobby in any way just a thing to pass a bit of time and mess with.

Didn't think how much these go upto £1000+.

You have to be careful with legalities of drone use, I doubt you'll be able to use one at home.  You can't fly them over other peoples property due to privacy and safety, and have to be a certain distance from people in a public area.  One of my mates bought a decent one for work but found so many restrictions with it he barely uses it at all now.

In my grandparents house my grandad saw a drone in the garden. Must of went out of range from the owner. He saw a red light was on on it. Still has it now as a souvenir and that red light is off.

This CAA article should help.

Well i can rule loads of these rules out, mainly indoors and the field anyway is by nothing and i mean not a thing so all you would see is grass, cant do field flying as cant leave

the house as a carer just for a in house toy, seen a few by us and they just go in the middle of the field with there kids to play about with it.

Like the 400ft,if this goes 100ft i would be amazed, don't forget its a cheap and nasty one so it might just turn on once and go pop.

I wont effect any planes, reading into this its for the big boys who goes out places to fly.

I get the safety side but the privacy is a bit of a joke as long as you stop on your back yard or ask the persons place you fly over like next door if you did.

I get all the stuff like airports and building and stuff like that.

I have a great story on all this with my CCTV on the house which is 24/7 recording so i got them in a bit of a ''didn't know what to say'' but that's CCTV not a drone.
