Passenger door open warning

Featured Replies

My Mk6 fiesta passenger door is always saying it is open when it is in fact closed ,can anyone shed some light on this please 🤔

Usually a faulty door lock switch. I'd have thought it also stops your central locking from working so dont leave anything in the car. You'll have to remove the door card to get to it, and should be able to frig the pins to see if the dash shows the door as being shut. If so then new switch required.

Might just be worth getting the whole locking mechanism from a breakers on Ebay for ÂŁ25.

If the door is locking correctly, it it worth checking the earth connection before you change anything, as the earth is only used for the door shut micro switch -

Hello, I had this problem with my mk6 but the driver door had to change the whole locking unit as mine was saying it was open when it was closed, hope this helps
