Had a long hard think about this and always wanted too do it so I decided today too just do it.

Turning The ford probe into Road/Racing car for the circuit, Ordered my racing buckets seats today, doing this nice and slowly too get it up too spec.

Got too keep the FIA happy while still MOT passable as well. 😉

Which isn't too Difficult at all. 😉

Just need a roll cage

Harnesses.

Fuel cut off.

Battery cut off as well.

Few other bits and bobs too add.

Once that's done should be able too quilfy for race days and still use for the road. 🙂

Good things come too those who wait, baby steps. 🙂

Not long got back from my mates workshop now too get the dates ready for the work too be carried out.

A lot I can do myself and have with the interior stripped out completely.

Time for a few drinks while the suns out I think 😉

Anyone doing any projects on there cars this year?

I'd look forward to how the roll cage is constructed and installed 👍

The thing I'm really thinking of doing is restoring my headlights. Hope it comes out nicely.

I think cloth offer the best comfort compared to leather. Leather I'd worry about rips and tears which I'm happy to have part leathers 😊

Looking back a few years (well, alright, a lot of years!) to when everything had viny/leatherette seats, I remember what a luxury it seemed to get our first car with cloth seats - a Mk1 Fiesta 1.1L.

Never really got the appeal of full leather - sweaty in summer (unless you have ventilation/cooling fan), freeze your bum in winter (unless you have heated seats). They do look the part in a big old Jag though.

Yep, leather as a 'luxury' item is hugely overrated.

Even worse is the Mercedes artico which is basically vinyl.

Thanks! It really does make the interior look smarter and sets it apart a bit from most other standard Foci!

Yeah part leathers or cloth are my preference too, but I do like the big heated leather Recaro's from the ST-3's.

The ST-3 leather Recaro dont have the middle seat belt on the rear seat neither so you lose the ability to legally carry a third rear passenger
