Looking for a guide to change my AC condenser on 1.0 EcoBoost

Featured Replies

So Ford quoted me something daft to have the condenser replaced since it's stone chipped to death. I've bought the part, looking for a guide on how to do this on a Mk7 EcoBoost 1.0. There doesn't seem to be any guides on this anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi I did this to my 2010 pre facelift mk7 but I reckon the process is the same, whole front end needs to come off to gain access once it’s off there’s only a couple of bolts and a couple of pipes to remove, here’s a pic of mine508673aed75e1bf41e7a31dd8be8a3d2.jpg

If you’ve got it access to a hoist you can drop it out through the bottom.  This is apparently how Ford do it. There’s videos by Mountune and Mishimoto showing how it’s done on an ST. 1.0 Ecoboost isn’t much different.  The whole radiator pack/condenser comes out together.

Fan motor and shroud off, radiator out, condensor out. Should take around 1.5  hrs to do .
