Couldn't Believe My Eyes!

I was on the M20 in kent on Saturday and I saw a recovery truck with a 59 black Fez on the back. It was a Style or Econetic.. no alloys just trims... they must have been gutted their new motor already on the back of a truck... :(

Wonder what the problem was? Is here any things that affects the Mk7 particularly?

Was it smashed up at all?

Could've had a puncture that couldn't be repaired with the inflation kit & no spare?

No damage that I could see and as I over took it could only see the offside wheels which looked ok...

could be anything then... Could be being transported, or sent for further diagnostics or something

I'd guess a puncture. All cars are prone to having things wrong with them, no matter how old or how reputable. Dunna panic! :)

I'll make sure I sleep easy tonight! :)

No it's cool, just strange to see a new motor on a truck that's not a delivery truck.. :)

I have an 09 which died the other day.

Starter motor is buggered so no way to get it going unassisted.

More curious about what happened here...

Attacked by the Top Gear piano?

It was a tyre!

How can a tyre do so much damage?

How can a tyre do so much damage?

Imagine a wheel coming at you, having fallen off another car, in the opposite direction and you're doing 40 or 50 mph, it will easily do as much damage as in that picture. Also looks like a skid mark at the top of the bonnet.

Looking at that picture, could also have been something dropped off the bridge behind.

Definitely a tyre damaged that one methinks.....

Where was the pic taken? The Police car looks like a 70's US throwback. Could this be the first Fez damaged in the States??

Cheers
