Daytime running lights \ dipped beams

Hi Guys, I recently bought a 2005 Ford focus zetec mk II 80 Hp petrol 1.4 Just after the windscreen wipers stopped working. This started with just the intermittent control that lets you change the speeds and then all of them went. Brought it to a mechanic he said fuse box was sick. He replaced the fuse box with a 2006 Cmax fuse box very thing working great in fact better all round except after this dipped beams and daytime running lights are not working. I checked the fuse box the relevant fuses for these are missing . Tried to put in replacements but there loose not sitting into anything in the fuse box Iike not tight once you slip them in ,  any help greatly appreciated !! Not sure if another zetec mk II fuse box will have to be refitted
