Graeme Smurf
Biggest pothole ever?!
Michael P
Pretty big! I remember last year we had a 4 week water leak (cheers Severn Trent Water) which caused a pothole right outside our house. at it's biggest, it was 1m x 1m and over 20cm deep. We weren't popular people!
Maffoo
Haha that's epic! Don't suppose anyone in London has taken the exit from Brent Cross shopping centre on towards the North Circular? There are about 5 potholes on that half mile stretch which are at least 15cm deep...

thesilverfox
I'd say this one in Manchester was a little larger ;) 8' x 6' and 6' at its deepest.

Nug878
Ooo-er! At our old house we had similar problems Mike, something to do with the water apprently. It was a long road and the potholes (which were rather large) were dotted down the road in front of everybodies drive ways. Luckily we lived on the end of the terrace so we parked our cars on a grassy verge on the side of our house. The rest of the residents had to park in the shop car park on the other side of the estate.

thesilverfox
I thought that too! No it was on the BBC website a while back as well - it was the second time that area had been affected by the 'sink-hole' as it were, albeit close by. If I recall, it's the main Didsbury road in Manchester, off the Princess Parkway/A5103.
