Ford Painted Seats

Featured Replies

I have a 2018 Ford Fusion Energi with leather seats.  The color from the seats rubbed off on my pants.  My seats are beige.  The color showed orange.  I originally thought the seats had something on them and so I tried to get it off with a microfiber cloth and leather cleaner.  That unfortunately took the paint off of a section of about the size of a silver dollar.  I took it into Ford, as “everything” is supposed to be covered for 2 years.  They said it was caused from an outside force and was not covered.  My butt on the seat, is an outside force, I guess Ford does not account for that when the design the seats.  It was obvious that the seats were painted when I cleaned it and the chalky paint from the seats came off on this section.  This is the second time I had trouble with the leather of this 2018 vehicle.  How do I fix the color to make it look new again?
