Car dont start at half heat

Hi,

We have a 2006 S-Max. The car starts fine every time when it’s cold, but once run once it gets to half heat if you turn it off it wont start, until the temp goes down again to around a quarter then it starts fine again.

Ive noticed some air in the fuel line coming from the diesel filter, could it be this? I have absolutely no idea about cars, so I could be completely missing something simple here.

Its a 2.0L Diesel its going for a service on Tuesday, we are hoping that fixes the issue, but I don’t think it will. Has anyone else had this issue?

Its not been put onto a computer yet wanted to try a service before I go down that route.

 

Any help would be appreciated thanks
