Petrol Cap Will Not Go Back In?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum but am hoping some one can help.

My key got stuck in my petrol cap today and in an effort to free it I rotated part of it and it will no longer go back in.

I've attached pictures and would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to return it to its normal state.

Thanks

put the key back into the cap and turn it so that the splines on the cap line up, if this is stiff in operation try a spray with wd40 first.

They won't turn at all, I've managed to take it apart now but can not get the springs inside to stay down.

I will post a pic shortly.
