Rattling in low gears, juddering in third - Fiesta ecosport 2015

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this exact question has been asked before.

So we've got a 2015 ecosport fiesta which has never given us any problems. Two weekends ago I did a 400 mile drive in it (without problem) and the next couple of days started to notice a weird rattling. The rattling happens worst when idling in neutral, and when changing from 1st to 2nd, or from 2nd to 3rd. It also happens (but more quietly) when you're driving in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The gear change itself it fine (no slipping or anything) but there's this rattling.

Also, when driving in 2nd or 3rd without your foot on the accelerator the car sometimes judders (kinda similar to the juddering before stalling but in this case the car is moving too fast for that).

Any ideas what this might be and whether it's going to be expensive to fix??

Cheers

Hey mate, wondering if you’re able to get this issue fixed? I’m literally experiencing the same problem

Well it's been 3 years now since @Lukey45 graced us with a visit, so don't expect a reply soon.
