Mondeo MK3 1.8 Duratec Petrol Exhaust Mods

Featured Replies

Hello all,

im thinking about putting an exhaust on my 1.8 Duratec Petrol mondeo. However after a couple hours of searching I can’t find any premades online. It seems to me I would need to get one custom made.

I have found that the diesels have endless amounts of exhausts and mods but very little for petrols. I was wondering if you could easily rig a diesel exhaust to fit a petrol?

Not sure what people are like on this fourm but just want to get this out there. All my mods are declared with insurance. I don’t care if you believe I should just get a faster mondeo it’s my choice to modify my car how I want (Free country and all). I don’t appreciate the rude comments I’m just coming for help from people with a better knowledge and I will help people when and where I can. Also I’m don’t use this as an excuse but want people to know before they comment, I’m dyslexic so I have really bad english.

I think you'll have to go for a custom exhaust, most people that are willing to pay for a whole new exhaust plan on remapping the ECU to gain more performance.  Unfortunately, on a naturally aspirated petrol it's not really an option so most don't bother (or are willing) to pay £££ with no realistic prospect of more performance.
