Wet Vac Options

Featured Replies

Morning all,

What's the cheapest way to wet vac upholstery?  Is it better to buy a cheap than to rent a rug doctor for a weekend?  If so, any decent cheap brands or deals about atm?

Only really need a wet vac rather than a full carpet cleaner.  Currently need it for 2 arm chairs and would probably do the car seats as well.  Have tried spray foam but it hasn't really worked and left the chairs too wet afterward.  Ideally I'd wait until the summer but it will need to be this month now lol.

I have I believe it's called a VAX machine which wet vacs. I have cleaned cloth seats before using a cleaner and a brush.

I used chemical guys lightning fast stain extractor diluted then used a toothbrush to aggetate it in before using a cloth to take up the residue. Easy to of used a bigger brush 😅

I've been trying to find a good deal on a new george lol. You can pick one up for just over £200 atm. We have an old henry so just using that without the vac bag for now. Not ideal but good enough for a small area like the drivers side carpet as long as it's not too wet.

For £200 I could probably buy a couple of new chairs!!

Think I'll have to see if i can borrow one locally...

Bumping this as I still haven't sorted it!

I've seen the Rug Doctor can be rented for £23 for 1 day, or £28 for 2 days which doesn't sound bad.  Their branded detergent is expensive though, are there any decent cheaper detergent alternatives?
