Featured Replies

hi

i have a ford smax tdci 1.8 witht he lynx engine i am currently suffering from low fuel pressure in the fuel rail what i dont understand is the engine wont start off the starter motor but if bumped off whilst towing it will fire and run the car will sit at tick over with stready rpm

upon shutting the engine off  it wont fire up

displaying error code P0087 Fuel rail/system pressure - too low current DTC

i have changed:

  • high pressure fuel pump
  • filter and filter housing
  • starter motor is new
  • cam belt

i will try anything at this point someone must have a solution to this or even an idea of what i could do to get this car back to the roads

i apreciate any suggestions and am willing to try most things within reason
