XRay of a crash victim

Police have shared an X-ray of a crash victim who had her feet up on a car dashboard to warn passengers of the dangers.

The image, released by officers in Wales, shows the woman's broken hips, with the joint between the leg and pelvis completely out of joint and protruding out of the skin.

Several other bits of bone also appear to have come loose.

In the right leg, it appears the thigh has snapped completely.

Subsequent tweets say the woman survived, but suffered life-changing injuries.

The X-ray was shared by Sargent Ian Price on Twitter.

He said: "Here is an X-ray of horrific injuries sustained to the front seat passenger who had their feet on the dashboard at the time of a collision.

"If you see your passenger doing it stop driving and show them this."

Although not illegal in the UK, putting your feet up on the dashboard could become a problem if you obstruct the driver's view of the wing mirror.

Looks pretty horrendous.

My one thought though, apart from the obvious stupidity of it, why would you want to put your feet up on the dashboard?

If anybody put their feet on my dashboard they would be walking the rest of the way!  Not because of the safety but because of my clean dashboard!!!

When my son is driving one of his companies vans, if the passenger puts his feet up on the dashboard he will say `you are not at home with your feet up on the coffee table, now get them down on to the floor`

Still better on the dashboard than destroying the roof lining 😅

lol

Regular sight on the roads these days, especially with younger drivers, odd times I've even seen a young woman laying on the full length of the dashboard.
