Passenger door won't lock

I've got a transit connect (2002) and I've recently come across a problem with the central locking.

 

I haven't got an electric key, so I have to insert it into the van doors to unlock it.

 

When I put the key in the drivers side, all doors lock except the passenger side, but when I put it in the passenger side, the passenger door will lock and then unlock after a second.

 

To keep the passenger door locked, I have to keep the key in the door in the lock position until it stops trying to unlock itself.

 

Just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some advice on what it could be and what I could do to fix it.
