Ok so the other day I fired up my mk4 mondeo tdci and immediately the engine malfunction warning came up along with the traction control symbol on the dash! Went into limp mode. Drove about 5 mins then turned off. After about half hr started up again and all was fine with no lights on dash! Later that day went to go out, after driving about 5 mins engine malfunction and TC lights came on on dash and into limp mode! A mate stuck a diagnostic on it and came up with: U0126:00-8A lost communication with SAMS module.

anyone any idea what this can be and how to fix it?

thanks in advance

A quick Google came up with this result, there are also more..

Hello,

Anyone every solve this problem. I am having the same issue with my M4 Mondeo. Only happens at speeds over 40 mph or when accelerating hard. The car works fine while driving around town.

Regards Kevin,
