How do you test the coil pack and also what are syptoms of a bad coil pack also how on Earth do you replace the exhaust as I don't see a clamp or flange connecting the back box to the mid box as I can't see if there isn't how u get it past the rear axl as it goes other the top. Thanks in advance

the centre pipe and back box are one piece so it needs to be cut to fit a back box usually a garage will offer it into place against the original and either cut before or after the axle usually before it goes up over the axle as for coil pack various symptoms hard starting misfiring at idle and through the rev range loss of power one way to check is take one of the plug connectors out the coil pack squirt wd40 and replace start the car and look for any smoke or remove each connector and look for burning or discoloration usually if in doubt change it anyway you get oem ones from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COIL-PACK-IGNITION-Focus-Mondeo-fiesta-OE-FORD-not-COPY_W0QQitemZ390059606434QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5ad15d41a2

theexaust willl be the original or pattern part the only break in the pipe is where the flaxi meets the cat and thats it youll also find that the exhaust is just one solid piece if you went into a garage they would cut the exhaust and then fit a clamp to clamp the two parts together.my old poassat was one piece when a new cat was needed they had to cut it which left a gap between the two pipes and them a long repair clamp is fitted which is basically a 3 inch piece of exhaust slightly wider than the standard with a clamp each end with this fitted it took up the gap and made a seal not many exhausts are split they come as a single piece as its cheaper to manufacture

if you remove each spark plug lead that is connected to the coil pack inside the lead is a metal clip look at this for discolouration this is also where you squirt a little wd40 on then replace it pushing it back into the coil do this with all of them then start the car the wd40 will react and cause a small amount of smoke if the coil is faulty none of these tests can be fool proof sop if you are in any doubt its best to replace the coil pack
