Ford Focus MK4 - Squeaky Gear Lever

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Might be a stupid question....

My 2018 MK4 1.0 Ecoboost has developed a squeaking noise mostly when moving from neutral to first.  I'm almost sure it just needs some lubrication.

I shouldn't have any issues getting this done under warranty should i?  Seems like a minor issue but its starting to annoy me 😉

Thanks
Mark

Seems you answered your own question. Why wouldn't it be addressed under warranty ?

I don't know... i have been screwed before with a car warranty...the consensus is that this minor issue should be covered?

  • 5 years later...

Did you get yours sorted? Mines developed a squeak going into 4th

I doubt you'll get a response :-

That teach me to come from Google and not check dates… 🤦‍♂️

But for an out of warranty repair, would silicon spray be a good choice?

Spray white grease on that mechanism👍
