tallrob
This is what my cluster display looks like on my 2007 S-max. Could it just be a loose connection, or do I need to replace the screen/cluster? I hate the red anyway. So I'm hoping there's some fancy replacement cluster that I can just drop in. Any ideas? Also possibly relevant: Trouble codes U3001 and U0126, both control module comm failures

isetta
I don’t know the answer. I can say that on lcd computer monitors sometimes strange things like this happen. Sometimes it can cured temporarily by hitting the computer monitor. But usually if it take the monitor apart and reseat the cable that attaches to the lcd panel, it is fixed permanently. Might be same for those lcd displays. I don’t know if those lcd displays do have a cable to the circuit board or if they are soldered on
Tortax
I'm currently investigating this problem. It is either a bad connection in the LCD itself or on the PCB. The LCD is not soldered on. Just 2 flat cables (ZIF FPC).
