Low Pitch Thudding Noise From Rear Passenger Wheel

Featured Replies

I get a low pitched knocking/thudding noise which seems to be coming from the rear passenger wheel area.

Its not all the time, and it only seems to happen over certain more frequent "gradual" bumps. It doesent tend to happen over one-off harsher bumps.

Its not the parcel shelf or anything in the boot. (admittedly i've not yet tried taking out the boot polystyrene frame under the carpet and spare wheel yet to test) but I'm assuming its related to the suspension.

I was wondering if anyone else here had a similar problem, and what was needed to fix?

thanks

most likely the same bushes im having done that hold the main axle to the body best having it looked at as it can be any one of the arms and bushes on the rear to check you need to look under the rear doors and up youll see the upper front trailing arm the big long one on one end it has a bush with a metal bar through it bolted to the underside of the car these bushes split and allow it to move sideways which causes a noise over bumps also when you pull awaty quick or break heavy you will hear a thump from the back
