I have a ford focus 14 reg 1 litre eco boost. I have been having issues with it since January. The battery keeps draining (its had a new battery) and it's not turning off after taking the key out. It also kept coming up with auto stop start requires manual restart. Charged the battery fully over night put the battery back in the car. Noticed the red indicator message flashing thought it was just the alarm couple of days later the battery is completely flat again. Ford said the fuse box has bad corrosion and will cost £2000 for a new one.

Ouch, maybe worth getting a second opinion on what is draining the battery from an independent auto-electrician

Or you can do some diagnostics yourself if you have a meter and are OK with electrical stuff

Eric here will guide you through the basic process

Can they explain how the corrosion causes the drain, i would have thought the corrosion would stop stuff coming on, not the opposite. Have they shown you the corrosion? And What happens if it does not fix it, do they then say oh yes it must also need an oojamaflip which is another 1000 on top
