Hi everyone and a lot of help

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I’m a new member and I’ve purchased a slightly annoying 2009 focus 1.6tdci 110ps.

so long story short it was advertised with an injector issue which was also supplied with the car and the apparent innop one labelled for me.

The car has no boost and excessive smoke.
The injector has been replaced with zero effect

I have noticed the egr pipes and cooler are missing and there is a “bodged” blanking plate on the inlet pipe as seen in pic.
without sounding dumb (which I probably do )

Will this cause the above issues and what’s my course of action to remedy

no eml or check engine and I’m going to lend code reader this afternoon to see if anything stored

Turbo shaft has zero play and freely spins

I’ve disconnected egr plug zero difference although there’s no pipes anyway

where do I go next

also I’m pulling egr off this afternoon to check for blanking plate on engine/egr side will update with findings

Thank you so much in advance.
