S-Max Vignale 2017 - New Owner - Help Needed - AC and Fuse Box

Featured Replies

Hi

Hoping that someone can help, the location of the passenger cabin fusebox seems to be a mystery, when I remove the fuse cover by the steering wheel, there is nothing behind. I have looked under the drivers side by the pedals and on the passenger side under the glove box and can't find the interior fusebox. Is there one or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

The AC seems very week as well, there is little to no difference from having the AC on or Off, is this usual as I have also read that poor AC is a known issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Take care and stay safe.

You have fuses above the passengers feet behind a plastic cover, against the bulkhead and another fuse box in the engine bay, in front of the battery. This fuse box is double sided. If you need the get to the bottom fuses, you have to disconnect the negative battery terminal first the unbolt the main power feed, it’s on the inner edge covers by a rubber protector. As for weak AC, mines is perfectly ok and never had any reason to complain.

Turns out the condenser has a leak, The dealership kept insisting it was the way I was turning the system on, he kept saying to switch it on via Auto not the AC switch. That and excuses that during COVID-19 the gas would have settled and needed time to get back round the system.

Needless to say I took the car to where they knew about AC. All being done on warranty and the dealership is footing the bill...

Looking forward to a cooler car...

Take care and stay safe.

Dealers don’t half come out with some rubbish.  The auto and ac buttons for the climate are for two different functions completely.
