Ford Focus 1.5 Diesel 2015 engine stutter

Hey everyone, my husband got a Ford Focus 1.5 Diesel 2015 with 50,000 miles on the clock from Arnold Clark (I know.....) and it has a stutter or cough every now and again. He has had the fuel filter replaced, tried Redex and Wynnes injector cleaner but it keeps coming back. He's now noticed the engine fan stays on for about a minute after he switches her off. 

Arnold Clark are no help... 

Any ideas?
