Black rubber strips for Ford original roof bars?

Picked up a pair of used original Ford roof bars for my 2016 C Max ( https://shop.ford.co.uk/products/roof-rack-33 ) but the black rubber strips are missing.

I'm not sure if they are essential or what they actually do but it would be nice to have the roof bars complete.

Has anyone managed to find replacements? They seem similar to the Thule T Track system which you can get replacements for.

I spoke to Ford UK online and they weren't much help apart from trying to sell me a brand new set of bars.
