Fuel Gauge Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi my fuel gauge stop working and do not show how much fuel I have what could be the problem also do the fuel empty light will come on when is low in fuel.

thanks in advance.

first thing to do is check the fuse for the gauge, if this is ok it could be the wiring at the sender unit or the unit itself playing up.

Good news is the Fuel Sender Unit and the gasket are only about 80 quid, so its not break the bank expensive. I did have a similar problem, where it was working but was giving inaccurate readings. It was due by service a DPF force regeneration, after that, I was running it down the roads at as close to 2000 revs as possible, and on my next top up, it all started to behave, its weird. If nothing else works, try it, it might be worth a shot...
