Ball Joint Nut

Hi more problems with the focus,

Replaced the ball joints and bottom arms last year.

I'm replacing the clutch now and the nut the holds the ball joint to the hub has rounded off

Managed to get it off with some mole grips but does anyone know what size the nut is and can I be bought separately?

Cheers

Scott

You get a new nut with a new ball joint. Not sure of top of my head the size maybe 15 or 17 possible??

Have you check the opposite side for a size?

Also you may be able to get them separately but they need to be of the same strength and not softer metal.

To be honest it probably be best to get a new ball joint just to be safe.

Hope this helps.

Aren't they 21mm head?  Seem to remember I had to use an adjustable as didn't have a big enough solid spanner.
