Not reading right mpg

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Just bought a 2007 smax that when I bought said 12mpg. after Diveing a good 100 miles its gone up to 27.5 mpg. I feel the car was stood for a while and wondered if the meter needs to be reset or something.... Doesn't seem right.. The engine runs sweet as and has some pull. Just confused to why I'm not getting a true reading

You can reset the MPG reader whenever you like.  I reset mine after filling the tank personally.   It does sometimes take a while to settle to the correct average, will be up and down for the first few miles.

I think it's done via the steering wheel buttons on the S-Max.  The arrows scroll different info and the centre button resets info by pressing and holding for a few seconds.
