Any help out there ??

Have you bought the car like this or was it previously working ok?

Definitely moving the gearstick far enough to actually select gears, it's not getting stuck half way in?  If you're not sure if it's moving far enough, try and select a gear with the engine off and see if there's further movement.

Check underneath to see if one of the inner CV joints is spinning when you select a gear and lift the clutch - if one joint has failed, all the power will be sent to that one so the car won't move.

If it seems to be in gear, with the clutch up and no gearbox movement.  Either the clutch is no longer engaging tightly (weak clutch spring) or there's an internal fault in the gearbox/diff.
