After advice from this forum, I am about to get my timing belt renewed, together with the auxiliary belt, tensioners and water pump. I have been quoted between £500 and £600 by two local garages. I was expecting the cost to be less. Has anyone any comments on this price ?

    Doesn't seem a million miles away considering that's London pricing. I wouldn't pay above £500 unless they were using genuine Ford bits (which at a local indie I doubt they would do unless you asked specifically)

    I think that is alot of money. I payed £360 but that was up here in yorkshire. I would request the qoute breakdown. However it might be more work on your car type than mine.
