2005 Zetec Radio Capacitor/Suppressor Location

Featured Replies

Looking for a bit of help.  The radio on my 2005 Zetec picks up a load of static, once the engine is started.  It's fine with just the first turn of the key.  I've checked aerial connections on back of unit and above the interior light. All OK. I hooked up a spare radio I had, and that too has interference when the engine is started.   After a bit of googling, seems I could have a dodgy radio suppressor.??   I've spent a while trying to locate this thing. I know what is supposed to look like, but can't see anything similar.   I've attached an under the bonnet photo.   Can anyone help by drawing an arrow on it to show the rough location?  Or if anyone knows anything else to try??   many thanks
