Apologies for first post being for help.

Hello to you all.

I have a 2008 SMax 2.0 tdci auto.

It has been great with almost zero issues since buying it.

But yesterday its gone FUBAR. Its been parked up outside the house for over 24 hrs without being used. Had no issues before it was parked.

Came to start it last night and the dash is all lit up with reds and yellows.  Beeping at me like its possessed.

Messages saying power steering fault, transmission service required and then engine malfunction.  And immobiliser activated.

Car is locked in park. Brake pedal is solid.

Battery is good. And there were no issues or noises when I drove it last.

I'm stumped.   Any ideas guys ?  Please?

FYI.  We did have a powerful thunderstorm the morning after it was parked up.  But I've checked cctv and don't see a lightning strike .

Thankyou in advance

I'm pretty sure it is your battery. The fact you havent had an issue previously doesn't mean it wasn't on the way out. I find with modern cars the battery fails completely out of the blue and with the Ford you will have the dash lighting up like a Christmas Tree.

Thanks.

Tried replacing the battery and still have same problem.

I have done some digging around and I think the the ground for the relays in fuse box is bad.

I've grounded the relays with jumper wires and can now hear them click in.

This allows the engine to crank. But still not starting.

I've also noticed that what should be a switched ignition live, is live constantly.

Which I think is what is draining my battery.

I cannot find a relay that controls the ignition lives . Grrrrrrr
