Hi guys, I'm just after a little bit of advice.

I was sat in traffic on a hill. When a car pulled up behind within centimetres of my back bumper. When the traffic started moving off, I moved off ever so slightly rolling back. I didn't feel or hear anything. As we continued down the road the driver kept flashing so I pulled over to see why and he kept going.

I have the whole thing on dashcam, you can literally make out every wrinkle on his forehead. but if I did roll back into him am I at fault? also am I in trouble for not stopping?

I didn't feel a thing and you can't see any roll back on the cam. I can't see any marks on my car neither.

Was he just an idiot?

You have 24 hrs to report\acknowledge any incident, stopping a mile down the road counts as stopping so you can't get done for that mate.

If you have a dashcam which doesn't show any rolling etc then you're covered, if he reports it as an accident to his insurance and falsely alleges you damaged his car but your cam shows otherwise then he will be in more bother than you.

Save the video, back it up to the cloud or memory stick too. Don't share it with anyone, especially the other driver. Save it for the insurance or police if required.

Don't do anything else about it, don't contact the other guy either. Photograph the rear of your car asap to prove no damage has been done too.

Relax and enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for the advice and info. Personally I think he was flashing just to be a jerk. Weird how he didn't pull over as well.
