    If you are after a box, DTUK are quite popular, but I found the Vector tuning box (£150) to be quite decent and equal to the DTUK (around £250-£300) - the power increase wasn't noticed low down, but instead, around 2000rpm and higher, and made a fair difference to mine. However, I don't drive my car to work anymore since relocation, so am selling my 'box. I never noticed a decrease in fuel consumption either, but it's wasted sat there doing nothing.

    Otherwise, a custom remap can cost around £400 depending on where you go. These tend to be a bit more impressive with gains, but can be erased if Ford update the software etc.

    Best thing to go with chips is a nice bit of battered haddock, plus they do not "null and void" your motor insurance. :ph34r:

    Best to ask your insurance company how much they wiil up your premium say for a 20% increase in hp.

    Definitely - provided you are with a sensible insurer, you should find that premiums don't increase at all, if negligibly.

    It's very insurance specific. Most will view it as a reason to add on £100 or something absurd (probably the same ones that put your premium up for an accident that wasn't your fault and you made no claim on your own insurance etc).
