iMessages and sms messages are going to my phone but not sync. Been thru message settings can’t figure it out. Anyone else had same issue?

If you have an iPhone, and SYNC 3 isn’t notifying you of your text messages, try these steps:^{27, 43}

1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > About and check the software version for your iPhone.

_{Note: Only more recent iOS releases (6.1.3 and above) allow SYNC to support text messaging.}

2. After you have successfully paired your iPhone, and it is connected to SYNC, access its Bluetooth^® settings and activate Notifications.⁴⁸

• On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth > SYNC, and press the information icon that appears to the right of the SYNC name.
• Set Show Notifications to ON.

3. Make sure your iPhone’s Messages app is running in the background.
Otherwise, your iPhone won’t notify SYNC of incoming text messages.
You can also lock your iPhone’s screen.  

4. From the Feature bar on the SYNC home screen, press the Phone icon, and then Text Messages.

• A dialog box will appear telling you that SYNC does not have access to text messaging from your device. Press Retry.
• SYNC will try to reconnect the messaging feature. If it is successful, you will see a confirmation screen.

5. Run a test. Ask a friend to text your iPhone. Here’s what should happen:

• A soft tone will sound, and a notification will display on your touchscreen.
• Press the Voice button and say, “Listen to text message,” and SYNC will read your text aloud.

If your test isn’t successful, go back to your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, and make sure they are still enabled. You can also try turning SYNC off and on.  

Thanks Ian, Bluetooth notifications were turned off. I’ve had this issue before but forgot how to sort it.
