Electric tailgate closes on my head!

can anyone explain the logic and any settings I can change to prevent the electric tailgate automatically closing on me!? I use the foot sensor or keyfob to open the boot to take off my kids wellies etc in to the boot and whilst doing this the tailgate suddenly starts to close after a minute or so.

I'm guessing this is a security feature to stop you leaving the car boot open when you walk away but it’s becoming a pain!

User manual doesn’t mention anything.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

    You are setting the parking sensor off on the drivers side that detects you, when your dealing with the kid. The sensor will open and close the boot.  Next time and try to stand in the same place and don’t move your legs. See if it still does it.
