MOT extension/service during latest lockdown?

I thought I'd swerved this one as my car was serviced just before Lockdown 1😀. However looks as if we could still be in Lockdown 3 when next service plus first MOT are due.

From what I've seen, in this current Lockdown garage servicing is permissible if you need to use your car for one of the permitted reasons, so MOT extensions will not be needed this time round, unless anyone knows different?

    Correct. You can take your car for mot/ service. Has to be pre-booked over the phone /email etc . All garages can and will be open subject to safe covid working protocols. 

    Quite a few garages will offer to collect car for you from home or work too.
