Kwik Fit Air Con Recharge.

Hi,

I think it may be time for the air con to be recharged. I know kwik fit and various other places offer this service for £40-50 quid but I don't really trust Kwik fit with anything. Reading up on this it appears that all Kwik Fit have to do is connect a machine to the car's air con system, program the machine with the car's details and the machine does the rest. Is that the case and if so has anybody used kwik fit air con recharge and what did you think of the service?

    After hearing a few horror stories about them i decided to give them a miss. I took my 05 MK11 Focus to a local auto electrical / aircon specialist. It only took them an hour to diagnose that the system was almost completely empty of refridgerant and refill the system and put some nice smelling anti bacterial foam in the vents, and all for £49.95. The difference was unbelievable.
