Air Release or Suction Sound After Accelerating (Audible After Releasing Throttle Pedal Above 3000RPM) - 2005 Mk6 Ford Fiesta 1.25L

Featured Replies

Hello,

After accelerating and releasing the throttle pedal my car makes a noise that sounds like air being released or sucked in. It makes my car sound as if it has a turbocharger and loud blow off valve. Obviously my car does not have a turbocharger so I am curious as to what this could be and how I could go about diagnosing the problem. Could it be a vacuum hose or rubber hose leak? My Engines' Idle is smooth and stable. The tachometer needle is smooth when accelerating and it makes this noise when the engine is hot or cold. I would like to attempt fixing it myself, if possible, so any guesses would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever find a response to your issue? I am having the same issue by the sounds of it and not sure what it can be.

Sounds something like what I had on my old car..check all the air pipes in the engine compartment..don't forget splits in pipes don't just go around pipes..they go long ways but hard to find if not under pressure
