Hi,

I'm new here so please bear with my seemingly never ending story with my S-Max.  64 plate 2.0 DTCi Titanium X Sport with Powershift

Problem No 1 - While driving on the motorway at 70 mph, almost everything cut out, was able to put hazards on !!. My Info screen read Please move Shifter to P for about 5 secs then the systems seemed to kick back in again and everything was fine, for about 2 mins, then it happened again, the info screen then had Transmission Limited Function. By this time I had slowed the car down and was heading for the next exit, it then proceeded to do this another twice before seeming to be okay. I managed to drive back home on the motorway with no problem. With the current lockdown I've not been out on motorway since that happened last week.

Problem No 2 - My Parking sensors have not been working properly for months, when putting car into reverse, camera comes on and works okay but the Parking Sensor switch flashes and there is a constant tone from the speaker for about 5 secs. This happened a while ago and they have come back and worked fine for a while and then for the past 6 weeks or so gone again. I know this is a known problem for SMAX and Galaxy, but when in for service didn't show anything wrong. ?

Problem No 3 - This morning we were awakened by the car alarm going off, went out and unlocked/turned alarm off. It went off again 5 mins later, this time when I unlocked the alarm went off and I could open the back doors but not the front. Managed to open front door from inside. Everything seemed okay so closed the car and locked with fob. The headlights came on and didn't go off resulting in the Battery draining quickly, the light switch was set to the off position. I did a jump start from another car and charged the battery up a bit and seems to be okay, however after closing the door, the headlights are still coming on and the rear lights are flickering.

I used Forscan and an ELM OBD2 scanner and had a few DTC codes but nothing I could see pointing to any of the problems above. Codes are P068A, U0126, U0145, U0415, B1B69, U0151 & U0452 (All shown as Archive (inactive)) One other code was P1571

Sorry for the long winded post but looking for any help please before going to garage, although I've tried a couple of garages and they couldn't find anything wrong with the car

Many thanks

Bob
