Hi,  my Focus has started getting the engine malfunction service now on most journeys,  this will occur within about 10 minutes of starting the car, always when slowing down at low revs, for example when approaching a junction.  Focus 1.0 turbo petrol.   When the car is restarted the warning light clears and the car is back to normal for a short while.

I left it with a local Ford specialist for a few days,   they had there scanner connected while driving and no codes show as the fault occurs so are struggling to suggest what the fault will be.

I see on the forums a few people have had this issue before, but no one has posted a definite fix,  can anyone help ?

Did you fixed it?  I have 100% same problem but with Fiesta 2014 1.0 ecoboost

do you smell alot of fuel when driving or is everything allright ?

No codes showing with Forscan?

I had the same issue for a longish time on my Focus 2011 1.6 TDCI Sport & took it back to a main dealer they updated the softawrw and cleared the codes Magic  no problems since  Just in case its the Turbo or DPF  I have used Redex since as a precaution- so far so good!

Did you fixed it ? Ford focus 2012 petrol same issue ? Especially when temperature goes down to freezing

Which Ford scanner did you buy?  That sounds very expensive for a Forscan cable?

Scanned at garage i didnt bought its too costly

As the temperature increased to double digit , there was no such issue but today when it went back to -2C ,  alarm started to appear. Will redex petrol cleaner will help ??

A Forscan cable would have cost you half as much as going to a garage.

Could be anything. Very possibly N75 (turbo solenoid).
