Usb and Bluetooth stopped

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2012 ford mondeo estate titanium x. It has the standard Sony 1 cd audio unit (not the sat nav version)

Recently the usb drive I've been using for years suddenly won't work, it simply hangs on 'initialising'. Tried several formatted flash drives just to see and all do this.  As for Bluetooth that's stopped also an the car doesn't broadcast a Bluetooth signal to connect to. Tried 2 x different phones and neither can see the 'ford audio' that used to be there?

Tried messing with fuses and disconnected the battery to reset the audio until (which worked to reset it) but the issue persists. The radio stations works but that's it.

Researched updating the audio software but can't because it won't recognise USB to install the downloaded files.

Nothing major changed recently so utterly confused so any help appreciated?

The Bluetooth module (which also handles the USB interface) is separate to the rest of the head unit. If you've tried removing the fuse for 30 mins to reset it and that hasn't worked then it's probably just a dead module.

Indeed it was. New module fitted and all up and running. Thanks for the help!
