New member - speaking Mk 3 focus exhaust advice

Featured Replies

Hello all.  I have 2011 Mk3 Ficus Titanium 1.6 petrol. I’m looking at getting a axle back exhaust to improve the sound coming out of my baby.  I’m not too fussed about performance increase I’m more wanting a better sound.  I would potentially look for a full system but it will take me a lot more time to save up.

Any suggestions and/or links would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi welcome 🙂

  • 4 months later...

I just fitted a Ford Performance axle-back silencer by Borla on my 2.0 Mk 3.  I also wanted some improved 'sound,' but there was virtually no difference, even though the Borla is smaller. I suspect that the large center silencer is the main silencing unit and unless that is removed (by installing a complete cat-back system) the sound level will not change much....but then it may be too much!
