I need touch up paint on the thing inside the door says paint code "3 8" with a space just like that "3 space 8"  it's blue.  maybe avalon blue or metallic blue i don't know

But the touch up paint websites offer codes like 38zxcv57x - even though they clearly direct you to the two digit paint code in the door, and tell you it's going to be two digits

I don't get it

    Code 3 8 does appear to be Avalon, the 3 is the colour and the 8 is the year it was introduced.

    Page 6 of - https://remarkpen.com/files/documents/colorCode/fordeurope.pdf also has 8CKE listed for Avalon if that's any help.

    Thankyou.  Interesting I had read reviews before I bought the car that argued with each other about whether the car they had was grey or blue, and on the chart you sent the Spanish think it's blue and the Germans think it's grey.

    But "avalon" it is thanks for the help.
